Scott Bailey LLP has been busy supporting its clients, contributing to our local community and sharing practical legal guidance on issues affecting individuals and businesses across the New Forest and beyond. Here the team gives a round-up of some of the firm's latest news and insights.
Supporting our local community
Walking for Oakhaven Hospice
In May, Senior Partner Sarah Unsworth and Conveyancing Assistants Elayne Braime and Catherine Jones took part in the Oakhaven Hospice walk from Sandbanks to Lymington. See photo below...
Together, the team completed distances ranging from eight to twenty-six miles in support of the charity, which provides specialist palliative care and support to people facing life-limiting illness and their families across our local community.
We are incredibly proud of Sarah, Elayne and Catherine for taking on this challenge and supporting such an important local cause.
New Forest Business Show 2026
If you attended the New Forest Business Show earlier this month, you may have seen the Scott Bailey team exhibiting and had a go at our Cornhole game to win a signature Hockey’s Farm hamper. It was great to see so many familiar faces and make valuable new connections!
As a firm deeply rooted in the local business community, we always value opportunities to meet fellow businesses and strengthen relationships with our clients. It was a fantastic event, and we would like to thank the New Forest Business Partnership for their hard work and everyone who stopped by to speak with us.
Super Sixes at Pylewell Park
We were delighted to once again take part in the annual Super Sixes tournament at Pylewell Park Cricket Club. See photo above!
Our team enjoyed a fantastic day of cricket, winning every match on the way to the final before narrowly missing out on the top spot and finishing as runners-up. As proud long-standing sponsors of Pylewell Park Cricket Club, it was another brilliant community event and a wonderful day enjoyed by all involved.
Looking ahead
Supporting the New Forest Show once again
Scott Bailey LLP is proud to once again sponsor the New Forest and Hampshire County Show, taking place from 28 to 30 July 2026 at New Park, Brockenhurst.
As a law firm with over 90 years of heritage in the New Forest, the Show holds a special place in our calendar. This year, we will once again be sponsoring the North Ring, where members of our team will present awards across a number of equestrian classes.
We look forward to supporting another fantastic celebration of rural life, local enterprise and community spirit.
Strengthening our commitment to the local legal community
We are also delighted to announce that our Senior Partner, Sarah Unsworth, has recently been appointed Junior Vice President of the Bournemouth and District Law Society.
Commenting on her appointment, Sarah said:
"I am so pleased to be involved with our thriving local law society. BDLS is doing great work in bringing our law community together in so many ways. I will really enjoy making a contribution to this for the benefit of our membership."
Sarah's appointment further strengthens Scott Bailey's longstanding commitment to supporting and contributing to the wider legal profession across the region.

Property auctions can present exciting opportunities, but they can also involve significant risk and extremely tight deadlines.
We recently supported long-standing client Forest Oak Properties Limited with a complex auction purchase where funding arrangements had not been finalised and the company faced a strict contractual completion deadline. By working collaboratively across our Property and Corporate and Commercial teams, we successfully completed the transaction and helped the client avoid forfeiting their deposit.
