These wonderful performers are coming to Lymington over the weekend of 6-7 September, to provide us with two evenings of music, all in aid of Hammersley Homes - please join us!
Amanda Mann is generously hosting these events in her divine garden on the South Coast, overlooking the Solent and the Isle of Wight. Come and enjoy a picnic in this heavenly setting, while being entertained by these superb performers. Both events will be held in these stunning surroundings, with gardens opening from 3pm and performances beginning at 5pm.

Hammersley Homes is a charity that provides long-term ongoing support to vulnerable adults who live with enduring mental ill-health, and struggle with independent living. Currently through our Outreach Programme, we visit our clients (mostly referred to us by local Community Mental Health Teams) to offer companionship and help with anything they may be finding overwhelming, including cooking & nutrition, shopping, dealing with incoming mail, budgeting and financial planning - and a great deal more. Sometimes it's just going out for a walk or a coffee. Kindness and compassion can go a long way. Our long-term goal is to establish supported housing facilities, where residents can live with dignity in a place they can call home - amongst friends, without the loneliness that is so often present in their lives, and with 24/7 support on hand, as and when needed or required.
Funds raised on these two evenings will enable us to support more of the vulnerable people we work with, and reduce the ever-lengthening waiting lists for our service.
THE PROGRAMME
Venue:
Saturday 6 September – Penguin Cafe Orchestra
Enjoy the enchanting, genre-defying music of Penguin Cafe Orchestra – a project led by Arthur Jeffes, son of original founder Simon Jeffes. Their music blends minimalist classical, folk, and global styles, described as whimsical, organic, and rhythmically meditative. This is a rare chance to experience a performance that is both intellectually rich and emotionally uplifting.
Sunday 7 September – An Evening of Opera
A breathtaking evening of opera under the open sky, featuring internationally celebrated performers:
Additional treats will be available from 3 pm:
Tickets
£45 per evening | 5% discount when booking both concerts
Wheelchair users welcome | No dogs please
Bring chairs, cushions and blankets for your comfort
A CAUSE CLOSE TO HOME
All proceeds will go directly to Hammersley Homes, helping us reach more people in need through our Outreach Programme. We support adults living with long-term mental illness by offering companionship, practical help with daily living, and ultimately the hope of permanent supported housing. With kindness and compassion, we aim to reduce isolation, improve lives, and build a future where no one is left to struggle alone.
By joining us for these extraordinary evenings, you are helping to build a more compassionate and inclusive world.
