Light up a Life with Oakhaven Hospice this Christmas

Coming to terms with the loss of a loved one at any time is hard and these feelings may be magnified as the festive period approaches, knowing that you will not be celebrating this time with those who are no longer with us; whether for the first time or not, this can be difficult to face. Oakhaven would like to invite every member of the community to join them as they take the time to reflect on times spent with those we have lost.

In December each year, Oakhaven Hospice holds Light up a Life services of remembrance and thanksgiving for those who are no longer with us.

This year Oakhaven will be hosting multiple services across the local area, no tickets are required. Seats available on a first come, first served basis.

• Monday 7 December: St Wins Church, Totton, 5.30pm
• Tuesday 8 December: St Thomas' Church, Lymington, 5.30pm
• Wednesday 9 December: St John the Baptist Church, Hythe, 5.30pm
• Tuesday 15 December: Beaulieu Abbey Church, Beaulieu, 2.00pm
• Wednesday 16 December: St Saviour's Church, Brockenhurst, 5.30pm

You do not have to have lost someone who was cared for at the Hospice to make a dedication or to attend a service; Light up a Life is an opportunity for everyone in the community to come together to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones.

Make a dedication

At each service, candles and a Christmas tree will be lit, each twinkling light shining out in memory of someone special. You are invited to make a dedication and donation in memory of your loved ones, which if received by Friday 20th November, will be included in the Light up a Life programme.
