The Bosun's Chair

A traditional pub in the heart of Lymington

The Bosuns Chair LymingtonThe Bosun's Chair is a three storey building which was originally a coach house. Conveniently located very near to Lymington Town train station, Lymington High Street, the quay and marinas. It is also very close to the Isle of Wight ferry.

Recently taken over by local company Pelican Taverns, who have a sister pub in Southampton (The Grapes on Oxford Street), The Bosun's Chair has been extensively refurbished. The bar has a great selection of wines, real ales and lagers. The kitchens serve fabulous food all day, home cooked traditional pub food.

The Bosun's Chair continues to show key sporting events on Sky Sports.

The pub boasts a large, secluded garden - a wonderfully peaceful oasis in the summer months, with real charcoal barbecues at weekends.

Opening hours:

Sunday - Thursday: 11am to 11pm (food served midday to 9pm)

Friday - Saturday: 11am to midnight (food served midday to 9pm)

This was a valuable find when we stayed in Lymington in October. Good choice of beers, good food, family friendly and (in our case) a great place to watch sport during inclement weather.
