The Good Food Guide has highly commended La Perle in Milford on Sea. The kitchen at this restaurant is headed up by Chef Sam Hughes. The Guide has praised Sam for the fact that he deals with small producers in Hampshire and Dorset and readers praised the generosity of the food, as well as its pretty plating and big flavours.
Sam represented Milford-on-Sea in the TV series Professional Master Chef a few years ago. He has recently returned to the village and is now the proud owner of his first restaurant, La Perle. As a young chef, Sam trained under Raymond Blanc, who has been a positive influence on him over the years. It was during his time spent with Monsieur Blanc that Sam developed his passion for seasonal dishes made from locally sourced produce.
The New Forest is a key source of many of Sam's ingredients and La Perle is a holder of the New Forest Marque. Over 90% of produce are sourced from sustainable suppliers based in Hampshire and Dorset.
Had a Make Saturday Special dinner delivered by La Perle. Substantial first class four course meal ready to cook. We miss going out but this was certainly the next best thing and reasonably priced. Delivered with a smile. Highly recommended.
