Everton is a village in the southeast of the civil parish of Hordle, just west of Lymington, in Hampshire. This village has around 760 houses, most of which were built since 1970. It also has a garden centre, large nursery, a village shop and a social club. The local church is dedicated to Saint Mary, which is a daughter church of All Saints in Milford on Sea. There is one pub in the village, called The Crown. In the 2021 Census report, Everton had a population of 1,615 people, just under half of which are aged 65 and above. The earliest deed mentioning Everton dates back to the 1300s, when the name was spelt Yveletona. The name has had many changes since, including Yelverton, Yeovilton, Evilton and Evelton.
