Eminent naval historian Commander Mark Barton, RN (Retd.)
will give an illustrated talk about the amazing history of the worldwide
network of ‘Forgotten Dockyards’ of the Royal Navy, not only of the
expanding Royal Navy of the Victorian era, but also of the early
British Roman navy, the medieval era, naval coaling stations, and
the anti-slavery ports used by the Royal Navy in its goal to try and
stop slavery worldwide.
Tickets £6.00 for Members and £7.00 for Guests to include refreshments.
