Durlston has a long-standing reputation for all-round educational excellence- combining academic, creative and sporting opportunities with the pastoral support to help our children grow in ability and confidence and to ultimately achieve their very best. We are thrilled that we can now offer children the opportunity to continue their education at Durlston through to Year 11 and to GCSE examinations.

We welcome children at any point. Our Pre-Prep children enjoy a vibrant and nurturing environment where they can experience their journey of discovery at their own pace. The children have a myriad of opportunities and develop the confidence to embrace challenge in the classroom and in music, sport, drama and dance as well. Outdoor challenges in the Forest School develop resilience and perseverance, and experiences like dancing the Charleston at a 1920s afternoon tea dance, really bring learning to life.

Children in Middle Prep explore new and exciting opportunities and as they grow in independence children continue to make amazing progress inside and outside the classroom. They are encouraged to find what they love, participating in the range of experiences such as: starting a band; learning to sail; growing vegetables in the Middle School Garden; representing the school in a team, and the list goes on.

The adventure continues in the Upper Prep and Senior years. The children at Durlston challenged and supported by specialist, inspirational teachers in wonderful purpose built facilities. We encourage the children to take advantage of all the opportunities on offer from competing in a STEM competition to taking the lead in a charity music concert.

Our purpose is to provide an exceptional education in an environment where each child is properly known by all members of staff.
