The Bell Inn is an 18th century coaching inn, independently owned by the same family for over 200 years, which very uniquely, also happens to be home to Bramshaw Golf Club, hosting two outstanding 18-hole golf courses – including the oldest golf course in Hampshire.
The Inn itself is an authentic Grade II listed building boasting age-old rustic charm with flagstone floors, large open fireplaces and beamed reception rooms, humbly mixed with countrified-chic trimmings – a respectful, flat-capped nod to the old, as well as the new. With an informal feeling throughout and dogs more than welcome in this New Forest pub, guests can choose to eat wherever they want in up to four areas including the light and airy Garden Room or the warm and intimate Oak Room. And for those staying overnight, there’s 28 en-suite cosy and comfortable bedrooms once more, cleverly blending original features with contemporary comforts.
Proudly local, The Bell Inn loves to welcome and spoil visitors like an old friend, offering genuine hospitality, real ale and seriously good food. Sourcing produce locally, their pub menu and dining experience showcases natures larder which is on their doorstep with an impressive selection of tempting seasonal dishes as well as daily specials. Understandably The Bell Inn is proud of its four-star AA Inn and one AA rosette recognition.
Gloriously positioned in a picture-perfect village firmly in the heart of the New Forest National Park, The Bell Inn enjoys a convenient location just minutes from the motorway and avoiding the main traffic hotspots across the Forest. Whether it be walking, cycling, exploring Hampshire’s countryside or coastline or even, playing golf in this playground that is the New Forest, The Bell Inn is the ideal place from which to eat, sleep and play.
Your canine companions are welcome to stay in the dog-friendly rooms and join you when you eat in the bar. Treat your furry friend to one of the dishes on the "Doggie Menu" or quench a thirst with a glass of "Pawsecco". There are many treats available from the dog cafe so no hound will go hungry.
