Facilities include: an Olympic-sized Astro Pitch, Performing Arts Centre, three libraries, Basketball Court, Music building with IMac suite, two ICT suites, a fully equipped Design Technology room, an Art Studio, an impressive Sports Hall, Dance Studio, four Science Labs and Language Studios.

Ballard’s focus on critical thinking realises the potential of each child from an early age. Dance, Forest School, Languages, Music and Sports specialists all add to the excitement of our Early Years. From Year 3, they provide specialist arts, DT, IT and Science teachers too. By Year 6, their pupils are taught by specialists throughout.
Ballard School invests in and embraces innovative initiatives and programmes including: Thinking Hard, Votes For School, Future-Basing, and Seneca Learning. The weekly 'Drop Everything & Read' sessions, combined with the 'Reading Cloud' and 'Accelerated Reader' software have propelled Ballard pupils further into the wonderful world of books.
