fairweathers-buildingsFairweather's is a family owned and run business - and it shows. Patrick Fairweather's passion and expertise is at the heart of the business and is reflected by every single member of his courteous and knowedgeable team - you'll find someone you can ask about literally anything to do with growing all kinds of vegetables, shrubs, plants... for outdoors and in. Inspiration and advice is available literally wherever you walk, about anything you might need to know.

A wealth of advice available...

There is also a really useful section on the Fairweather's website at www.fairweathers.net, with advice fact sheets about growing fruit, growing vegetables, lawns, pest & disease control, outdoor plant advice, seeds & bulbs, and plants for specific purposes.

fairweathers-colourFairweather’s historic buildings offer a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for browsing and choosing all manner of equipment and items for your garden or conservatory, from comfortable quality furniture to clever and unusual garden related gifts and greetings cards.

A wide range of plants to view and buy...

fairweathers-blueWe pride ourselves on the wide range of plants that we provide, backed up by expert advice and a five year guarantee on all hardy plants sold. We have particular expertise in Lavender and Agapanthus which along with many of our plants we've grown ourselves in Beaulieu.

Agapanthus at Beaulieu

The Agapanthus plant is an elegant and exotic species, but the good news is it's well suited to UK soil and climate conditions - especially here in Beaulieu, Hampshire!

Fairweather’s are in fact the largest growers of Agapanthus in the UK. We currently have a collection of over 300 cultivars awaiting approval by the Plant Heritage as a National Collection.

We supply wholesale growers both locally and further afield, mail order companies and specialist producers. We're delighted to be able to share this quality plant with our customers directly too - whether at the garden centre or now, also, via our online shop.

Lavender at Beaulieu

fairweathers-lavendarLavenders are perhaps the most loved plants in our gardens. These aromatic, evergreen shrubs have soft grey-green foliage and long-stemmed spikes of fragrant flowers, which appear from spring to late summer depending on the variety you choose.

The flowers generally have a very high oil and nectar content which bees love, so they are a great addition if you want to attract wildlife to your garden.

They form a billowy edging as they tumble out over pathways and lawns where their delicious scent will escape as you brush past them. They can tolerate drought and enjoy sun and well-drained soil.

We have been growing lavender for many years in Beaulieu and we pride ourselves on the quality and beauty of our home grown lavender. Come and see them - or, if it's more convenient for you, you can now also buy from our online shop.

An online garden shop for your convenience...

fairweather-pinksRecently thanks to popular demand we've set up an online shop where you can buy our specialist range of Agapanthus and Lavender, and also Fairweather's Gift Vouchers for an easy yet still thoughtful gift for a gardener friend or relative (and who doesn't need something for their garden or conservatory!). Whether you're based locally but need something in a hurry, or you're not close enough to visit us, try our online shop and we'll welcome you there instead.

An educational living garden patch...

fairweathers-stefPatrick’s Patch is an inspiring, educational and productive garden that we have built adjacent to the Garden Centre in Beaulieu High Street – it’s free to enter but any donations given go to the NGS (National Gardens Scheme). Year round we grow a wide range of vegetables, fruit, herbs and cut flowers that are used in our Café – Steff’s Kitchen. Free courses are held regularly and dates can be found on our website.

Relaxing garden cafe with delicious home cooked food...

Steff’s Kitchen offers home cooked food and a warm welcome. Enjoy a cup of coffee & cake, a hearty breakfast or a light lunch - it’s a great place to relax and soak up the atmosphere of Beaulieu Village.

The whole team at Fairweather’s Garden Centre look forward to making you feel welcome in Beaulieu soon!
