5k for 50 days fundraising for Oakhaven Hospice Trust
Congratulations to Nicola from Lanes Restaurant who has raised £3,000 running 50 days consecutively for Oakhaven
A big cheer for Nicola Leyland-Jones from Lanes Restaurant in Lymington who ran in to this week's Lymington Chamber of Commerce meeting at Oakhaven Hospice to complete her personal challenge of running 5k for 50 consecutive days.
It's a fantastic achievement - especially when you consider the awful weather conditions we've had recently!
Nicola has raised £3,000 for Oakhaven Hospice Trust, which costs £5 million per annum to "run."
Oakhaven Hospice Trust provides palliative care and support for patients and families both in the hospice and at home, in the New Forest, Totton and Waterside areas. Only 14% of Oakhaven’s running costs are paid for by statutory government funding and it it relies for all the rest on its fundraising activities and charity shops.
Nicola was delighted to finish her 50 day challenge, photographed here with Jill West, one of Oakhaven's wonderful fundraising managers.
