"Your Healthy Living Starts Here" is a popular healthy living festival style indoor event previously held in Portsmouth and widely reported on TV and radio, which is now being brought to us here in the New Forest.
It's based on a simple principle: that to be really healthy we need all three of physical, mental and environmental health.
Founder and event organiser Jeannette Jones says:
"Humans are creatures of habit and I know how difficult it is to change something/anything especially parts of your lifestyle. So you will find a mixture of taster treatments, lifestyle suggestions and products all of which will help you create/improve you getting towards a healthy lifestyle. All with environmental concerns the focus. You should expect 38 local stall holders and 10 therapists all of whom are on hand to show you easy ways to improve your lifestyle... especially on how not to give up on New Year Resolutions.
This is my 3rd event like this, but a first for the New Forest.
Come along to this event and receive advice and suggestions on how to make simple changes to improve your lifestyle."
Funds raised during the day will go towards the very special local charity Canine Concern (click link to their website) supporting both people and dogs: wonderful dogs which provide therapy by bringing joy and reassurance into the lives of many who need it, especially the elderlyand the vulnerable including children who are anxious or have difficulty at school.
In fact a representation of Canine Concern's therapy dogs will be personally in attendance throughout the day so you will have the opportunity to meet them too!
"I joined Wikaniko (we can eco) 3 and a half years ago and created my business Anygreenwilldo www.anygreenwilldo.co.uk (think Jason Donovan and you'll never forget it!).
Why? Because I am a grandma and I want my grand daughter to have a future and at this rate she wont have a world with bees or hedgehogs, or anything that isn't breathing and drinking plastic. So I am on a mission to 'green ripple' to as many people as possible to show them how easy it is to just swap what you use and how that will make a difference.
This is not a vegan fayre, it is a healthy living event. We are all there to help you realise that it doesn't cost the earth to save the Earth. Please come and help make it a success - I am positive you will take away with some really great ideas and determinations!"
