Ringwood Charter Market is a weekly retail market held every Wednesday from 8am to 3pm in the traditional Market Place. The market offers a wide range of goods including food (meat, fish, deli, bread and cakes), clothes, plants and more...
If you are interested in becoming a stallholder at the market please contact Edward Morant on 01590 622361. Please note that Ringwood Town Council does not own or manage the market.
The roads remain open during the market, so please take care when browsing the stalls. A road closure is not possible due to disruption to local businesses and homeowners.
The Charter to hold a Wednesday market in the town was awarded to the Lord of the Manor by King Henry III in 1226 to the Earl of Pembroke. The Morant family bought the Market rights 200 years ago when they purchased 2000 acres of Ringwood and surrounding area from Lord Arundell in 1792. Throughout the centuries it was an essential part of trade in the area, originally selling livestock and local produce.
