November 15th would have been the date of Oakhaven Hospice's Oakhaven 10, a 10 mile trail run, taking in the scenic New Forest paths near Brockenhurst. This new event was a change to the Oakhaven Half, which has been running in March for a number of years. Given the usually terrible weather, the event was evolved to appeal to a wider range of abilities and fitness levels and hopefully benefit from the milder weather we usually have later in the year.
Sadly, current restrictions limiting gatherings mean that the organised run cannot take place. Instead Oakhaven would like to ask the running, jogging and walking community to take on the event as a personal challenge to support the Hospice.
Simply pick your distance (10 miles or 10km!), grab your shoes and track your run or walk with your chosen app on Sunday 15th November. Entry is £10
and full details can be found on their website: www.oakhavenhospice.co.uk/oakhaven10
. Send in your tracked run and they will send you a medal for completing the event. The event is open to entrants of all ages - Oakhaven would love to hear about your Oakhaven10
