Lymington and District Chamber of Commerce (LDCCI) monthly breakfast meetings normally take place on the third Thursday of the month, starting at 7.15 am and finishing promptly by 9 am - the idea is that everybody should be able to get to work on time or very soon after!
The location varies as meetings are normally hosted by a Chamber member - often a local hotel, restaurant, pub or school or indeed the Lymington Centre or one of the local Churches. The constants include the welcome to both member and guest businesses, the professional yet informal and friendly atmosphere, and the quality of the breakfasts!
Some of the meetings include a guest speaker on a topic of interest and relevance to most businesses, other meetings are purely for networking.
The main purpose of the LDCCI is to help member businesses (which may be based in Lymington or any of the local New Forest towns and villages) to promote their own businesses, and to facilitate an environment which is as helpful to that as possible. This includes engaging with the local authorities and other organisations to discuss business issues, and support for specific business sectors as and when it's needed.
We actively welcome members from all business sectors and there's no limit to the number of businesses from any one business category permitted to join. Indeed the accountants, solicitors, retailers and web designers alike often find it useful to chat informally over breakfast about the issues which affect their individual areas of business.
If you've never been to a Chamber meeting come along to one of our monthly meetings as a visitor and let us welcome you! Then you can see for yourself whether it's for you.
