An active and inspiring way of life

Beautiful gardens at Belmore Lodge LymingtonThe spirit of the great Arts and Crafts designer, William Morris, inspired Belmore Lodge. The detail throughout the home emphasises traditional qualities, with fine wood finishes everywhere, but just as the Arts and Crafts movement itself was a bringing together of the traditional and the modern, beneath the surface Belmore Lodge is purpose-built for residential and nursing care and offers superb and innovative facilities.

Situated close to the bustling heart of Lymington and to the New Forest National Park, Belmore Lodge offers an active, friendly and inspiring environment for those cherishing their independence.

Belmore Lodge has 55 well-appointed bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities. The corridors are wide and with large lifts to the first floor. There’s even a sun therapy room replicating the heat and light of a sunny day in Miami, complete with sand, decking, palm trees, the sound of waves and the waft of coconut. It’s a place to rejuvenate the body and mind, stimulating and yet peaceful, where guests are always welcome.

Outside are attractive and well-maintained gardens, easily accessible from the communal rooms - which recently won the Colten Care group award for ‘Best Garden.’

Key features include:

- Imaginative themed rooms, such as the sun room (Oasis), rooftop café and study
- Short distance to Lymington’s historic high street and quayside
- Beautiful, well-maintained gardens which are easily accessible (the dining room opens directly onto them)
- Superb cuisine, prepared daily by professional chefs using locally-sourced ingredients, served by well-trained and attentive staff
- Fully-equipped hair salon
- All bedrooms have en-suite facilities
- Full programme of daily activities and access to our fleet of minibuses

“Belmore Lodge is very lively with always something to do”

Colten Care employ many more staff than they have residents; staffing levels are acknowledged as being among the best in the care sector. All staff working in Belmore Lodge, whether in nursing, activities, cleaning, catering or gardening, are encouraged to think of themselves as part of a single team, with care and respect for the individuality of every resident as a fundamental part of their responsibilities. The team strives to create a warm and harmonious environment where residents can feel fulfilled and content, and where their families feel welcome as a continuing part of their loved ones’ lives.

“We had a meal with my Dad in the beautiful dinning room at Belmore Lodge and it was like sitting in any good restaurant - the food was super!”

“I appreciated the respect and dignity with which the residents are treated”

Residents and their visitors often enjoy the short stroll to Woodside Gardens, with ample parking, wide flat paths, lovely considered landscapes, adventure playground and sports facilities. Belmore Lodge is also in close proximity to Lymington's Quay and marinas, as well as Milford on Sea beach and the Solent Way, perfect for wheelchair and buggy-friendly walks through the coastal marshes. And of course multiple locations in the New Forest are also just a few minutes drive.

“We were impressed by your professional approach and care”
