Local Student Amongst Top Ten in Country

Local students Stephanie Bull, Rebecca Martin and Emily Pressnell were amongst the top ten in the country in GSCE Art & Design: Photography and Design & Technology: Textiles Technology, according to Edexcel, the UK’s largest awarding body.

They sat their exams earlier this summer at The Arnewood School and results, issued last month, show that out of 2,275 candidates, Emily achieved one of the highest overall marks in Design & Technology: Textiles Technology. Results also show that out of 1,370 candidates, Stephanie and Rebecca achieved one of the highest overall marks in Art & Design: Photography.

Jerry Jarvis, Edexcel’s Managing Director, said: “This is a tremendous achievement and testament to the hard work students put into preparing for their examinations.

“We send our congratulations to Emily, Stephanie and Rebecca on their achievements.”
