New Forest Film Evening - Presented by the Honourable Ralph Montagu and wildlife film maker Manuel Hinge

Come and join us for an evening of New Forest country life, wildlife and local scenery, from the 1960’s to the 1980’s.

At the National Motor Museum Lecture Theatre, Beaulieu.

Thursday 31st January 2008

Beekeeping for beginners - With Stanley Gibbons

This course aims to give you a basic knowledge of the Honey Bee and the craft of beekeeping.
The course consists of 6 evening sessions and a morning practical session.
Starts Weds 6 Feb
Wednesday evenings 7.30 – 9.30pm, Feb 6th. 13th, 20th, 27th and March 5th and 12th. Practical session morning of 15th March
At the Out of Town Centre, Beaulieu
Cost £40 per person,
       £35 for friend of the Trust

Pruning workshop - With Stan French

A practical introduction to how to prune fruit trees with expert Stan French. Practice pruning on the Out of Centre own fruit trees!

Thursday 6th March

Evening talk - Our Ancient Trees and Woods


With Hugh Milner, Forest Commission and Bryan Wilson, New Forest National Park Authority.
Come and discover the history of the New Forest woodlands. Learn about the compositions and character of the ancient woodlands and focus on types of tree and how to conserve our woods.

Farm and Garden Open Day – Thought for Food

At the out of town centre, Beaulieu   

The day includes: BBQ using local produce, field cookery challenge, children pizza making, demonstration of traditional cuts of meat and homemade burgers, by Sargents Butchers, beekeeping display, farm animals, seed sowing and lots lots more
NO need to book just turn up on the day

FREE parking

Cost: £3.50 per person £2.50 per child

The Beginners Guide to Poultry Keeping - With Ron Grover

An introduction to small scale poultry farming, course includes: What breeds to choose, Housing and feeding requirements, Health and Husbandry and Handling and general social behaviour.
There will also be opportunity for hands on experience with our own chickens.

At the Out of Town Centre

Either Wednesday 2nd and 9th April evenings 7 – 9.30 pm OR
    Saturday 19th and 20th April mornings 10 – 12.30 pm

Family Naturalist – The Pond Are Alive!
