April 2007 - favourable weather to the coast brings about influx of buyers chasing all too few propositions..
We have experienced a productive March/April with a number of sales being put in solicitors hands particularly in the bracket £750,000 - £1 Million pound. Good properties, particularly those of an individual nature are urgently required to satisfy an ever increasing backlog of buyers.
At long last we are now reaping the benefit as the early Spring inequality will be addressed with a great number of properties now coming to the market. I anticipate a steady Spring and am encouraged that to date the level of sales has already exceeded that of a similar period in 2006, recalling the fact that 2006 finished a record year for this branch.
Looking ahead we have the HIPS legislation scheduled to become law in June, and I daresay this may prove a slight drawback, though to be honest whether one decides to buy or not will always be more influenced by the properties charm as opposed to whether the property has an 'A' classification for its energy efficiency. Put simply if you want something with an 'A' classification - buy a new fridge not a period cottage!!
