Plot your course for the Beaulieu boat jumble

Stand space is filling up fast for this year’s Beaulieu BoatJumble, taking place on Sunday 29th April.  With over 1,000 stands, the UK’s largest outdoor boating jumble has everything for the nautical enthusiast, including chandlery, engines, clothing, tools, books and fittings - a veritable  ‘bosun’s chest’ of treasures.

Special features at the show include the Andark Diving Experience.  Visitors will have the opportunity to put more than their toe in the water when they have their first scuba diving experience with the help of experienced divers from the South’s leading specialist diving company.

Watch out for frantic activity in the Demonstration Marquee where Dinghy Sailing Magazine will be running a ‘Boatyard Scramble’.  Two teams will start the day with a battered Mirror Dinghy and £250. Their challenge is to find all their materials on the show’s jumble stands and create, by the end of the day, the dinghy of their dreams.

Trunk Traders is an exciting new feature at this year’s BoatJumble, with car boots bulging with boating bounty! Trunk Traders is designed for people clearing out their lockers and garages of boating bits, no longer used or unused parts and tools at the end of a restoration project.  Just drive in and sell from the back of your vehicle.

BHG Marine will again have a large presence in BoatWorld, situated in the show’s Arena. Among the brands they will be exhibiting are; Yamaha Outboards, boats from Terhi and Orkney , Avon Inflatables, Drago Cruisers and Cabin Boats, Ocean Safety Equipment and Sevylor Inflatable Kayaks.  Other exhibitors in BoatWorld include Bournemouth Surfing Centre with wet suits, bodyboards and clothing, Helly Hanson, G Comm marine electronics  and , exhibiting for the first time at Beaulieu, Bray Marine Sales, one of the UK’s fastest growing boat sales companies.

BoatMart, brings together a wide range of used boats, from classics to nearly new and those in need of restoration, which can be viewed before you buy.  Bridge Marine of Thames Meadows will be showcasing two of their used boats for sale with a display of several more from their large stock.

There will be all the usual BoatJumble services on offer including a free shuttle service back to your car with large purchases, plenty of free parking and lots of mobile caterers offering a variety of refreshments throughout the day.

Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy all the Beaulieu attractions, including the National Motor Museum, with its latest exhibition ‘Autoglym Supercars’,  Palace House and Beaulieu Abbey.

Tickets for the event are now on sale and can be purchased at http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/tickets or tel. 01590 614888. There is a special on-the-day, inclusive price of £8 for adults and £6 for children, or book in advance to save £1 per person.
