THERE’S NO THROTTLING BACK FOR SCORPION RIBS

Scorpion RIBs Ltd has appointed the leisure marine consultant Peta Stuart-Hunt to help support its next stage of development. Peta’s consultancy, PR Works, is also handling Scorpion’s media and PR interests with immediate effect.  Graham Jelley, the Managing Director of the Lymington-based manufacturer said, “We are gearing up to launch the next phase in the growth of our business and have plans to expand both the workforce and our existing premises during the Autumn.”  Scorpion RIBs are world-renowned for their range of custom built open RIBs ranging in size from 7.5m to 9.75m. The company also produces two cruising RIBs, namely the 10m Pioneer and 10m Sport Cruiser.

Scorpion originally started life as South Coast RIBs Limited in March 1996 and traded under the name of Scorpion. As the brand name became a recognised industry standard, the company changed its name to Scorpion RIBs Limited in February 2001. Today, Scorpion leads the way and gives depth and integrity to the rigid inflatable boat market. Indeed, Scorpion can already lay claim to having nine Scorpions - that’s more than 10% of the overall fleet - competing in the 2008 Round Britain Powerboat Race, a 1600 mile endurance race,
that takes place in June 2008.
