Henri Lloyd & Skandia Cowes Week Celebrate Seventh Year of Sponsorship 2007
As Official Technical Clothing Sponsor to Skandia Cowes Week for the seventh year in succession, Henri Lloyd is looking forward to another spectacular event in which over 1000 yachts are expected to take part.
Once again Skandia Cowes Week Officials and representatives are wearing Henri Lloyd clothing. The company is also supporting the team running the Skandia/UKSA Try Sailing initiative, and their kit is being used by crews racing on the Extreme 40 Basilica, the SB3 – Team Maclaren, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the Volvo RYA Keelboat squads and a number of other crews and individuals.
This year Henri Lloyd is campaigning two boats within the Skandia Cowes Week Regatta. In Class 1, the Farr 45 Henri Lloyd – Cutting Edge will be racing all week, with special guest appearances from the likes of Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and Dee Caffari, as well as members of the press and internal staff from Henri Lloyd. Henri Lloyd – Cutting Edge has been campaigning all season and has had some impressive results at the Vice-Admiral’s Cup and in the IRM Series.
Henri Lloyd is also campaigning a Laser SB3 Team Henri Lloyd in the highly competitive Laser SB3 fleet where up to 100 boats are expected on the start line.
Henri Lloyd is supporting the Ellen MacArthur Trust, the official charity for Skandia Cowes Week 2007, by providing clothing for volunteers who are working at Skandia Cowes Week to promote the charity.
Henri Lloyd’s Cowes Sailing Store is situated at 95-96 High Street, and will be fully stocked with all Henri Lloyd’s technical and lifestyle ranges. Competitors will also benefit from a 10% discount with their Skandia Cowes Week Competitors Card as well as further special promotions on Ladies Clothing on Champagne G.H. Mumm Ladies Day which is being held this year on Thursday 9th August.
