Welcome!
Welcome to our Winter newsletter. We have plenty of events and promotions in the coming weeks to give you a welcome break from Christmas shopping in Lymington. We are currently running a great ‘lunch for less’ promotion, running through until Christmas. We are launching a brand new takeaway menu, so that you can enjoy ‘Vanilla Pod’ food in your workplace and we are taking part in what is set to be Lymington’s biggest and most exciting weekend of the year. Come and join us for a charity Wine tasting quiz on 6th December and don’t miss sampling some of Professor Snape’s potions on the 8th and 9th December!
Lunch For Less

Enjoy a bowl of fresh homemade soup, followed by a bacon or sausage sandwich for only £5 per person. This offer is only available Tuesday to Friday and is served from midday until 3pm. This offer will be running until Friday December 21st.
New Takeaway Menu
On Friday November 23rd we are launching a new takeaway menu, with many of our Vanilla Pod favourites now available to enjoy when you want to eat on the go. Our full range of sandwiches and baguettes will be available to takeaway and as always made fresh to order, using freshly baked bread and genuine French baguettes. All of our hot and cold drinks will be available, as well as homemade soup, cakes, pastries and a range of salads. Orders can be placed in advance by calling us on 01590 673828 and will be ready for collection at lunchtime. Pick up a new takeaway menu in the café.
Dreams Come True Weekend
On the weekend of the 8th and 9th December, Lymington dot com, in association with a charity called Dreams Come True have planned a fantastic weekend of family entertainment. Different areas of the town are to be transformed into various themed children’s wonderlands. Dreams Come True is a charity that helps dreams come true for terminally and seriously ill children.
The Quay is to be turned into Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley, the High street into Lapland, Angels Courtyard into Narnia and much, much more. There will be an ice rink, bouncy castle, fairground rides and the Brockenhurst to Lymington train is to become a ‘Dreams Express’. We really hope you can support this event and look forward to seeing you at some point over the weekend.
The Vanilla Pod will be transformed into Professor Snape’s Potions classroom for the weekend. In addition to our usual menu, we will be serving a range of ‘Potions’ and ‘Butterbeer’ with all proceeds going to charity. We will also be running a Potions quiz for all you Harry Potter buffs. You will need to really know your stuff to win this one, so get swotting up now! The prize will be a family breakfast at The Vanilla Pod.
This will be a weekend not to be missed in Lymington and we will be opening for extended hours for the weekend. On Saturday we will be open from 8.30am – 6.00pm and Sunday from 8.30am – 5.00pm
Wine tasting Quiz – Thursday 6th December, 7.30pm
To help raise money for Dreams Come True, we will be running a charity fundraising wine tasting quiz, with all proceeds from the evening going to Dreams Come True.
We will be tasting eight different wines made by top producers from around the world. This will be a great opportunity to taste some fantastic wines, improve your wine knowledge and help raise money for charity. It is not often you get the chance to taste eight glasses of wine and feel that you are doing some good, so make the most of it and come and join us!
You don’t need to know anything about wine to take part, as long as you enjoy it! We will be giving multiple choice answers to the questions so everybody is in with a chance! The tasting will be an interactive tasting with all the wines being tasted blind and questions on each of the wines. The team with the most correct answers will win a case of wine. You can either enter as a team of four or as an individual.
Tickets are £15 per person and must be purchased in advance of the evening. Tickets will be sold strictly on a first come, first served basis, so please reserve your ticket as soon as possible.
