2008 dates for Hampshire farmers’ markets

2008 dates for Hampshire farmers’ markets

Hampshire farmers’ markets will run in 14 different market towns across Hampshire in 2008, and a new flyer highlighting when and where these will be held is now available free from Hampshire Farmers’ Markets, at libraries and tourist information centres.

Shoppers can visit Hampshire farmers’ markets held at weekends in Petersfield, Alton, Romsey, Andover, Basingstoke, Hartley Wintney, Cosham, Southsea, New Milton, Hythe and Winchester (the largest farmers ‘ market in the UK), plus new locations Chandlers Ford, Ringwood and Fleet. Here, fresh, local and seasonal produce is sold direct to you by the farmers and producers who grow, rear and make it in Hampshire. Not only does this ensure traceability, it reduces food miles and packaging – and makes shopping more enjoyable!

For more information, visit www.hampshirefarmersmarkets.co.uk, or for a free leaflet detailing all the Hampshire farmers’ market locations and dates for 2008, telephone 01420 588671. Leaflets are also available at libraries and Tourist Information Centres across Hampshire.
