Local Winner Celebrates

Local Winner, Lisa Webb from Pennington near Lymington in Hampshire, was absolutely delighted when she heard that the family had won a cheque for £75. They were picked out from the huge number of people who voted for the ‘People’s Choice’ at the National Fine-Crafted Wood Competition  held at this year’s New Forest & Hampshire County Show.

Lisa and Chris and children Adam and Georgia all agreed that it was a spectacular exhibition of work and they had a long discussion on who they would give their vote to – in the end it was unanimous and they chose the eventual winner of The Peoples Choice  - Nicola Henshaw with her ‘Hare and Tortoise Chair in Lime’

The New Forest Trust organised the exhibition and INEOS, an international company with headquarters based in the middle of the New Forest in Lyndhurst, were the Major Competition Sponsors providing a £2,000 commission for the winning trainee and £1,000 for the Peoples Choice prize as well as additional support and help.
