Britain’s biggest cycle race and annual spectator sporting event is heading to the New Forest on Monday 10th September. Cyclists will enter the Forest on Stage one of the Tour of Britain race between Reading and Southampton at approximately 12:15pm. Over 100 cyclists will be competing for the coveted title that takes them all over the country and finishes in Glasgow. The competitors’ 28 mile route through the Forest will take them on an extensive tour through Bramshaw, Firtham, Milkham, Bolderwood Arboretum Ornamental Drive, Rhinefield Ornamental, Brockenhurst, Hachet Pond (where there will be a hot-spot sprint at about 1:00pm), Beaulieu, Hill Top and Dibden. One of the best places to watch the race is at Brockenhurst as its transport networks make the perfect opportunity to leave your car at home.
