Once a girlie, always a girlie! You can pretend you're all grown up and don't relish the thought of regressing to those times when your bedroom was a pink palace of princesses, posters, plumes and plumped up cushions, but we just wouldn't believe you. Rather like putting a well known sweet into your mouth and trying not to chew, we are convinced that a visit to Lulu's will have you giddy with excitement and if you happen to have a young daughter, then you really will be re-living your very best memories the moment you step into this remarkable shop.

Walk into the lobby of Stanwell House Hotel and you can feel the pink glow enticing you to the door on the left, where a whole world of girlie fun lies ready to enthrall and captivate you. Gifts, bedding, cushions, fabrics, bathroom gifts and accessories, quilts, children's gifts, china, jewellery, handbags and so much more are on offer. This is the girlie equivalent of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. Young girls will be in heaven and with prices from £1 upwards, Lucinda the owner has very kindly provided the opportunity to many a parent struggling for a way of turning a High Street shopping trip into a major adventure. (There are also a few token boy items as well, so they needn't go away empty handed either!)

Yes of course Lulu (Lucinda) obviously has a savvy business acumen, but this is underpinned by a fabulous and genuine enthusiasm for what she's doing and a real attention to detail. This is not tacky stock, more a skillfully selected array of unusual hand-picked quality items from around the world. The linen and bedding is some of the best available and with another specialist Beds & Bedding business and showroom over in Salisbury, Lucinda has many years of experience as well and plans more shops in the future.
