Funky Gibbons - For the best dressed child in Lymington...and on the South Coast!

Standing chatting to Mandy, one half of the force behind Funky Gibbons, a lady rushes in, hugely flustered, desperately seeking a present for her newborn granddaughter though with no avail from the remainder of the High Street. Within a few minutes of rushing into the store, the customer is smiling, joking and already stood at the counter paying for her beautiful purchase so perfectly picked out by Mandy. They converse for a while and then the lady leaves, more than contented with her purchase and certain to return again!!

Funky Gibbons is one of those long standing independent stores in Lymington high street that we tend to harp on about at LDC.  Opened 7 years ago, by owners Mandy & Marnie, it has built the reputation with Mum’s in town as THE place to shop for very fashionable youngsters and, once you have visited, it becomes very quickly apparent that this view is really not surprising! The interior of the store is bright, fresh and fun. Not only this but it is also chock-a-block, from floor to ceiling, with anything that any child could ever dream of from clothes to shoes, hats to bags, babies to teens, beachwear to gifts. On inspection, it suddenly dawns on me why they have been here for over 7 years....there really is something for anybody all under this one roof!

It is not only the wide range of stock in the store that ensures its success but also the inclusion of several unusual products and brands that attract people from a far as the only source to such merchandise. Such brands include Ted Baker, Timberland, IKKS, Catimini, Oilily, emile et rose, Absorba and Inch Perfect Inch Blue shoes to name just a few. Also new to the store, and this season’s best seller, is the new Joules kids range (up to age 13/14 years). Mandy and Marnie pride themselves on their stores individuality and as such it truly will remain a gem in our town.

Funky Gibbons, open 7 days a week, is jam packed with all essentials for kids from 0-16 years stocking a wide range of clothing, accessories, toys, gifts, shoes, hats, bags, beachwear, UV safe swimwear, towels....the list just goes on. There really is only one option, visit it yourself and ensure that your child is the best dressed in town!
