THOMSONFLY ANNOUNCE MORE LOW FARES FLIGHTS FROM BOURNEMOUTH FOR WINTER 2006/7

Gran Canaria offered for the first time from Bournemouth!

Thomsonfly puts the first of its winter 2006/7 low fares flights from Bournemouth on sale today, (6th April), including Gran Canaria for the very first time, starting from just £34.99 one way including taxes and charges.

A total of six destinations from Bournemouth are now on sale for winter 2006/7, including Malaga, Alicante, Salzburg, Faro, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.  One-way fares start from just £19.99 including taxes and charges to Salzburg, and customers should book early to secure the lowest fares.

Today’s announcement will mean Thomsonfly will be operating low fares on flights as frequently as seven times a week to Malaga and six times a week to Alicante.  Flights to Faro and Salzburg will be up to three times per week, with Gran Canaria and Tenerife twice a week.

Maria Heckel, marketing director for Thomsonfly, said: “Due to such a success at Bournemouth Airport we have decided to introduce even more low fares routes for next winter which is great news for the people in the Bournemouth area who can now get great value with the most trusted name in the travel industry, from the convenience of their local airport”.

These new high frequency routes show Thomsonfly’s expansion of its low fares strategy, taking its flights to destinations further afield - to the Canary Islands for example. The airline is today also announcing new low fares winter flights from Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Cardiff, Nottingham East Midlands, Coventry, Doncaster, Luton and Gatwick.

Thomsonfly remains committed to providing a high level of customer service and offers allocated seating on all flights, unlike the majority of low fares airlines, as well as offering passengers the opportunity to book in flight meals and extra legroom.

With 24,000 hotels available through the Thomsonfly website, independent customers can also book accommodation year round, from just £1 per room per night.

Thomsonfly is now offering low fares flights to over 80 destinations from 24 UK airports - more UK departure points than any other UK based airline.  Flights can be booked at www.thomsonfly.com at any Thomson shop or by calling 0870 1900 737.
