Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the New Forest National Park Authority re-elected.

Clive Chatters and Barry Rickman have been unanimously re-elected as Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the New Forest National Park Authority at its’ annual general meeting on Thursday 29 June.

Clive Chatters is a Secretary of State appointee on the National Park Authority and an officer at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.

Clive said: ‘I would like to say thank you to all the members for re-electing me and I appreciate everyone’s patience while I’ve been learning the ropes. It’s been really interesting to see the lasting results of our work so far, I am however; ever mindful of the challenges we face from outside the Forest.’

Barry Rickman is a New Forest District Council appointee on the New Forest National Park Authority.

Barry said: ‘In my role as Deputy Chairman I look forward to continuing to support the Chairman and to help support the key priorities of the National Park.’

The National Park also made a number of appointments to external bodies including: Diana Halford as appointee to the New Forest Court of Verderers for four years, Susan Achmatowicz as a representative on the Executive Management Group of the New Forest Centre, Peter Frost as a Trustee to the Ninth Centenary Trust and Clive Chatters to the North Solent Shoreline Management Plan-Elected Members Group.

Members also decided on appointees for the internal planning and development control committee, resources and performance committee and the standards committee as well as a number of existing external committees.
