Winchester Village comes to the New Forest Show

This year, for the first time, The New Forest & Hampshire County Show is going to have a completely new shopping feature. This will be a dedicated area developed to provide a village atmosphere, styled on a ‘Winchester Village’ theme, complete it is hoped with authentic signage, special ground cover and 20 purpose built ‘shedding’ for local tradesmen.

The Chewton Glen Champagne Bar, sponsored by Taittinger is the central feature, offering white and rose champagne by the glass and bottle plus champagne cocktails to entice the palate. Both New Forest Show and Chewton Glen members are offered 10% off all bottles on production of their membership badge.  Their rather special marquee design will no doubt tempt people to relax in this haven of serenity in the middle of the Show.

This up market stand sets the scene of the village and is surrounded by some very exclusive stands. Scotland’s most memorable whiskies, Sheep Dip and Pig’s Nose are to be re-launched here, and top designer outlets Shoe Queen, Toria Lee designs and Gabriella Fashions will wow you with their wares. For the men – do you need a new suit? Regent Tailoring is there to help .

There are specialist photographers here and a display of solid oak furniture manufactured by Webber Furniture from Lymington.

This feature, which will be next to the Member’s Entrance near another new ambitious feature – the Art Pavilion – and parallel to the Main Avenue South, attracted instant interest from traders. Such a delightful departure from the usual stand areas will make shopping a much more interesting, no doubt rewarding and definitely a more relaxing past-time at the Show.

The New Forest & Hampshire County Show will be held at New Park on Tuesday 24th  to Thursday 26th July. For all enquiries, including ticket sales go to www.newforestshow.co.uk or ring the Show office on 01590 622409.

When you come to the Show let the train take the strain and come to Brockenhurst mainline station where pay-as-you-go shuttle buses will take you right into the showground.
