New Exhibitors at The New Forest Show Horticultural Marquee

The Horticultural Marquee at The New Forest & Hampshire County Show is one of the largest in the UK and boasts a range of top class award winning flower and plant stands, providing an array of colour and filling the air with a wonderful combination of scents.

As always there are a whole range of new exhibitors, featuring professional garden designers alongside nurserymen and garden centres. The Show generates a lot of interest from all over the country however continues to support local growers whenever possible.

This year students from the Bournemouth School of Floristry will be Showing off their expertise. They will be designing and making some large flower arrangements around the marquee and are being sponsored by their employers as an advert for their businesses.

Springfields Nursery from Lancashire will exhibit Canpanulas, thought to be the only stand in the UK that specialises in Canpanulas plus another first, a vegetable plant display. This shows adults and children how to grow food anywhere and everywhere - an ability to ‘Grow it, Pick it, Cook it and Eat it’. Most importantly though, to Enjoy it. This is a particularly interesting as Peter & Yvonne Holden started using vegetables for display when their grand-daughter was a toddler as it was a wonderful way to get her interested in vegetables and consequently eat them all. Now they will show the public how to do the same!

Grudens Garden Centre from Highcliffe will be there, making a patio garden to show off some garden furniture., and another first time exhibitor is Oak View Nursery from Wimbourne will be showing Phlox and Ranuculata.

Elks-smith landscape designer from Bransgore are starting this year with a small design garden, hoping to extend this next year with a larger hard landscape design.

For those interested in horticulture this marquee encompasses everything they could possibly wish for, with additional adjacent marquees for the Southern Vegetable Championships and the Flower Arranging competitions.

The New Forest & Hampshire County Show is held at New Park, Brockenhurst from Tuesday 24th to Thursday 26th.
