NEW FOREST AGRICULTURAL SHOW SOCIETY ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT
The New Forest Agricultural Show Society, elected Robin Mackenzie to be their President for 2008 at their recent Annual General Meeting. “We are delighted that he has agreed to take up this position”, said Chairman, Geoff Morgan. “Robin has a long association with the Show, mainly very well known by all as the commentator for the East Ring of the Show, at which he has officiated for over thirty years without missing a single day.”
Robin was born in Kent, educated at Dulwich College and then gained a BSc (Agric) at Wye College, University of London. He is also known for his literary skills having written for many years for several magazines including a weekly page in the Shooting Times on general country matters.
His election as President for the New Forest Agricultural Society was unanimous and greeted with great enthusiasm by the Board of the Society.
The New Forest & Hampshire County Show will be held at New Park on Tuesday 29th to Thursday 31st July. Discounted advance tickets are now available from the Show Office on 01590 622409 and will also be available on-line at www.newforestshow.co.uk from 1st June.
