Dear Suzy & Colleagues,

Re: The Lymington & Pennington Carnival & Lymington Live

I am writing this as an open letter on behalf of our audience especially and I presume the overwhelming bunch of happy faces in Lymington throughout Saturday, to thank you so much for delivering such a successful event, which many have commented was unprecedented in recent years.

We witnessed at first hand the glee on the faces of local kids and their parents, glad of an opportunity to give them a day to remember and subsequently to themselves enjoy music and frivolity at every turn free of charge.

I'm aware that you provided your services effectively free of charge and that you merely wanted to do something positive for the town. To that end, you achieved all that and more. We were thrilled to be involved and hope that this may catalyse other similar events in the future which we would also support wholeheartedly. I've spoken to many of the venue owners who were delighted with the day and of course are looking forward to more of the same.

Hopefully you have proven what can be achieved by a 'just do it' attitude and the pride many of us felt for our community this weekend can be continually built upon for the benefit of everyone.

Please convey our thanks too to everyone who took part especially the Marching Band who entertained us so marvellously on the bus ride back as well.
