I am proud to go against the trend and say I hardly ever shop on line, for anything – I can get more or less everything I need locally, at prices which I think are reasonable too. I won’t even save a couple of pounds ordering my book club book online – it’s so easy if we determine to do it, to support local business. Our local shops can’t afford expensive advertising offering headline grabbing apparently big discounts but you’ll find that many of them reward local customers’ loyalty, on an ongoing long term basis.
