With no friendly face to talk to, small problems can quickly become big anxieties, leading to serious health problems. Silverlinks can help overcome the problem issues. With over 25 years' experience of managing information and advice services we are uniquely placed to help. Our friendly, trained and checked volunteers visit older people at home by appointment to discuss a particular worry. It might be Attendance Allowance, Housing Benefit, Blue Badge, Council Tax, a bereavement, Alzheimers diagnosis, fuel bills or letter writing, the list goes on. We will research the problem and offer solutions; however, the client stays in control and nothing is done without their agreement. We may write letters or make phone calls and we will offer the client our best advice to achieve a good result. Silverlinks helps and encourages older people to join a local group where they can make new friends and talk things over as well as support others. No charges are made or expected; however, clients may make a donation if they wish.
