FLYBE - NEW ROUTE TO THE FRENCH RIVIERA

High demand prompts airline to launch summer schedule early!

Flybe, one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines, is announcing the launch of a new summer route from Southampton to Nice, the heart of the French Riviera and playground of the rich and famous, which goes on sale today as part of its summer 2007 schedule.

The route sees Flybe continuing its dedication to its Southampton base by providing travellers with a direct and low cost service to one of Europe’s leading summer holiday destinations.

This new route announcement is the second from Southampton in just two weeks, showing that Flybe is continuing to provide the greatest choice for travellers in the South and allowing them to avoid the congested London airports. The move also sees the airline continue to push its boundaries and grow across Europe, increasing its destination base to help steadily grow passenger numbers and to continue having a significant impact on air travel from regional bases.

The opening of the summer schedule will see Flybe offering frequent flights direct to the heart of the Cote D’Azur, allowing cost effective travel to this key French cultural centre.  Situated between Cannes and Genoa, Nice is a popular metropolitan centre with a long and varied history dating back 400,000 years. Offering beaches, culture and shopping, Nice is the perfect destination for southern travellers next year.

Flights to Nice begin on 25th March 2007 and fares start at £39.99 one way including taxes and charges.

In addition to the new route to Nice, due to the overwhelming customer demand for flights to summer sun destinations this year, Flybe is putting the most popular of its Southampton summer routes for 2007 on sale early, offering travellers in the South services to Alicante, Malaga, Murcia and Palma in Spain along with Faro in Portugal.  Tickets for these routes go on sale today.
