An outstanding new exhibition is now on display in the National Motor Museum’s Motorcycle Gallery. It consists of an exceptional collection of seven World and British Championship Superbike Ducatis, ridden to glory by stars of the track John Reynolds, Niall MacKenzie, Neil Hodgson, Michael Rutter, Sean Emmett, Paul Marra Brown and Steve Hislop.
Each bike has been treated to an immaculate coat of paint and new tyres to bring them back to their pre-race glory, making the display one of the most enduring images of Italian racing machines around.
Making up the rest of the exhibit are picture boards giving a resumé of each machine and rider, with a tally of their championship wins while display cabinets showcase racing leathers, helmets, team shirts and other memorabilia.
National Motor Museum Manager Doug Hill says: We are delighted to bring our motorcycle display into the 21st century with this wonderful collection of British Superbike Ducatis. I doubt that there is a collection to rival this series of race bikes at Beaulieu.”
