I went the other day to meet up with a fabulous lady called Val Plummer who runs a relatively new to the area Interior Design business from her beautiful home in Milford-On-Sea and to be perfectly honest was initially pretty skeptical. I knew in advance that Val had moved into interior design having done up several of her own houses and thought I would be meeting one of these Property Ladder types who after a crack at doing up a house, thought they were an overnight expert. Within moments of  arriving though I quickly realised that my pre-conceptions were grossly mistaken and actually it was more like someone realising the old painting in the attic they thought was worthless, was actually a Rembrandt and worth a fortune.

As we sat in her lovely studio, Val (in a very appealing modest way) told me that having bought her house off plan in 2004 she found herself redesigning the specification for all but the outer walls, to such an extent and high standard the builders themselves asked to avail themselves of her natural talents for their show homes. Combining the totally unexpected burgeoning business with studies at the Institute of Interior Design and Home Staging Network, Val soon found herself with a brimming Client base of Developers, Agents and private individuals across Hampshire, Dorset and West Sussex and an enviable reputation for a truly ‘gifted eye’.
