Louise has had a successful career in The City, working in senior management positions with the likes of The Financial Times, Thomson Financial and SS&C Technologies. More recently, having moved here over six years ago, Louise has also worked at a senior level in Recruitment, Government Funded Projects and Corporate Branding. Bringing with her this commercial experience, especially in Technology and Publishing, Louise is Lymington Dot Com's Managing Director.
Louise says of Lymington Dot Com: "When my husband and I moved here over six years ago and having brought up my five year old son locally, I would have saved myself hours of research and traipsing around if there had been a single point of information for all the things you need to get the best out of a community like Lymington. To that end, I have hours of frustration behind me and am channelling that energy into making LDC everything I never had..."
Jan spent over 15 years as a top Manager in the Music, Film and TV industries before moving to Lymington from London six years ago. Jan has spent the past six years working at a senior level within the IT industry and brings that experience to Lymington Dot Com, ensuring that the site develops as a serious and scaleable business model which can be replicated and expanded further afield.
Jan also runs two separate and rapidly growing companies called 24hrIT (www.24hrIT.com) & brief8 (www.brief8.com) which offer IT Support/ Managed Services and Web Design, Marketing & PR respectively and, though based in Lymington, they both operate nationwide with Clients ranging from small local businesses to larger British and European companies.
Jan says of Lymington Dot Com: "I have yet to see a local website in Europe that successfully creates the look and feel of a glossy magazine and local paper combined and appeals to all tastes and ages. This is my ambition for LDC and for all of the sites within the 'Let's get it ON!' Media Network. I am also looking forward to the launch of our local lifestyle magazine, which we are confident will be very well received!"
Mark previously worked at Accenture where he gained valuable experience in systems architecture and was heavily involved in writing technical manuals for accounting systems. Mark is a rare breed of developer who has a diligent approach to coding and a passion for constantly challenging the boundaries with a 'just do it' attitude. He is a top Karate expert and is studying Japanese in his spare time.
Mark says of Lymington Dot Com: "I was thrilled to be offered a full time roll with Lymington Dot Com/ brief8™ especially as having come from a company like Accenture I didn't believe I could find a company which would provide the kind of platform I wanted for my ongoing career. I am really looking forward to rolling out the technical infrastructure I have been working on which underpins Jan's ambitions for a 'global' network of Let's Get It On town portals. I'm also enjoying the various challenges presented by the ever increasing volume of web design Clients we are getting! The guys also have a great policy of developing a sensible handful of in-house projects which might become the next YOU-TUBE or GOOGLE and some of the ideas they've had are awesome!"
Alex studied Graphic Design and has joined the LDC team in our growing graphic and Flash development team. He has already impacted hugely on the business and his happy disposition, enthusiasm and rare natural ability are hugely appreciated!
Alex says of Lymington Dot Com: "Like Mark, I didn't think I'd be able to find an agency locally which had a London vibe, but having been here am happy to say I was wrong. The company is obviously hugely popular locally, with great quality Clients and some of the in-house design projects I've been allowed to get involved in are potentially huge. Nice people too, which helps!"
